This is a program obtained at Super Bowl IV at Tulane in New Orleans on January 11, 1970 when the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Minnesota Vikings 23-7. This is the famous Hank Stram NFL Films Super Bowl game. This program comes from the estate of a deceased Chicago Bears front office member.
Auctioned off were the programs from the first 30 Super Bowls - Super Bowl I through Super Bowl XXX - all of which he attended. The Programs for Super Bowl I and Super Bowl II went for astronomical amounts because there were Packer fans in attendance. We were fortunate enough to win the Super Bowl III and Super Bowl IV Programs. This SB IV program is not perfect but displays beautifully with fantastic color and very little wear around the edges and a strong spine. The cover and the first few pages were bent back on the lower right at some point, but there's not a hard crease.I captured it with the light in one of the photos. This program also has some minor water damage in the same area - which you can see on the AFL vs NFL page image. It recedes quickly and by page 23 or so, it's gone. An awesome piece of history priced to sell. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. Thanks for looking, and BE SURE TO CHECK OUT OUR OTHER AUCTIONS.
