1969 NFL Super Bowl III Vintage Program Jets 16 Colts 7 Joe Namath Rare Minty
This is a program obtained at Super Bowl III at the Orange Bowl in Miami on January 12, 1969 when the New York Jets and Joe Namath defeated Johnny Unitas and the Baltimore Colts 16-7. This is the famous Namath Guarantee Super Bowl game. This program comes from the estate of a deceased Chicago Bears front office member. Auctioned off were the programs from the first 30 Super Bowls - Super Bowl I through Super Bowl XXX - all of which he attended. The Programs for Super Bowl I and Super Bowl II went for astronomical amounts because there were Packer fans in attendance. We were fortunate enough to win the Super Bowl III and Super Bowl IV Programs. This SB III program is phenomenal. It shows very minimal wear and has not been read. Looks like the cover had barely been opened before I opened it to take some photos. This one should be graded. I have a first issue Sports Illustrated that is CGC 9.0 and this is nicer than that. An awesome piece of history and would be an incredible Christmas gift for that special Jets fan!
