1925 Rose Bowl Football Program Notre Dame vs Stanford University
Highly desirable and iconic program from the January 1, 1925 Rose Bowl. The game had legendary coaches Pop Warner of Stanford and Knute Rockne. Stanford was led by star running back Ernie Nevers while Notre Dame had the legendary 4 Horsemen of. Stuhldreher, Miller, Crowley and Layden. This is a large format program with the front cover measuring. 12 inches by 9.25 inches. 16 numbered pages plus the covers.
Great pictures inside of both teams and coaches. Nice pictured of the 4 horsemen togeher. Program is technically in about near EX condition but looks much better. This program is pretty clean given the large oversize nature of the program being susceptible to wear.
There is a half inch split to the spine at the top. Tiny less than ΒΌ inch split at bottom. Otherwise spine is completely intact. No loose or missing pages.
Typically this program is found with a vertical crease from being folded and carried home but that is not the case with this example. There is NO vertical crease from being folded. There are a few light diagonal creases in the lower right quadrant that lightly impact the cover and the first two pages. A similar but lighter diagonal crease in the top right corner. Tiny, tiny, edge tear at top.
Interior pages are very clean. A little light edge wear to the 2.
To the last page and back cover. Typical wear to corners of program. All of this mentioned for accuracy but this is a cleaner example than this program is usually found in.
